A brass memorial plaque inscribed and dedicated to members of the 1st Welsh Field Ambulance who served and were killed during the First World War. The plaque was unveiled by Lord Treowen and dedicated by the Archdeacon of Monmouth on 10 June 1922.

I believe my grandfather, William (Bill) Jones was in this unit (family from Cwm and Waunlydd). He served in Gallipoli and in the middle east. I have a photo of him on a camel with two other servicemen in Egypt (in front of the Sphinx).
