Tredegar’s First World War Research group visited Siloh Baptist Church on Bridge Street in Tredegar in order to record its collection of memorials to men who served and were killed in the First World War.
There are 2 memorials in Siloh dedicated to men of its congregation. One is a grey marble plaque containing the names of 5 men of the congregation who were killed.
Amongst these included Sydney Emlyn Jenkins, son of Siloh’s pastor,Reverend Rhys Jenkins. A contemporary newspaper article is attached which referred to his death.
