Dedication of Abertillery Civic War Memorial – Unveiled on 1st December 1926 by Viscount Allenby.
Film footage of the unveiling is held by the Imperial War Museum. This footage shows a woman, Miss Williams, wearing several medals and seated in front of the memorial during the ceremony. She had lost three brothers in the war.
