Dear Sirs,
Re:- Book of Remembrance: Ebbw Vale, Beaufort, Victoria, Waunlwyd & Cwm
There is a misprint on page 5.
Murphy, Patrick James, 9, 7th Row, Newtown; SWB; Nov 10th 1917.
This actually refers to two people.
They were brothers who lived at the same address, (My Great Uncles) and their details are as follows.
Serjeant James Murphy, 10318, 1st Bn, South Wales Borderers died 22 December 1914. Remembered with honour Le Touret Memorial. France
Private Patrick Murphy DCM, 14496, 1st Bn, South Wales Borderers died on 10 November 1917. Remembered with honour Tyne Cot Memorial
Thank You
